About Us

We believe a functioning
democracy begins with an
informed citizenry.

Ideaplus Foundation is a Nigerian non-governmental organisation working to advance transparency, accountability, and citizen power in governance. Founded in 2020, we sit at the meeting point of research, advocacy, and capacity-building.

OUR MISSION

To galvanise citizen-led reforms that make Nigerian governance more transparent, accountable, and responsive to the people it serves.

OUR VISION

A Nigeria where governance is open by default, where public resources serve the public good, and where every citizen has the information, capability, and platform to demand better.

Our Approach

How we work

We take a long-term view, recognising that one-off advocacy rarely delivers durable reform. We strengthen accountability systems by producing research that shapes public debate, building citizen capabilities, and convening spaces where decision-makers engage directly with the people they serve.

We track success through outcomes, not activities: policies improved, information opened, public resources better governed, and citizen coalitions that endure beyond our support.

01

Evidence-driven action

Our campaigns, briefs, and convenings are grounded in robust research, ensuring our advocacy is credible and effective.

02

Citizen capability

We strengthen citizen skills, tools, and alliances so public voice is informed, organised, and sustained.

03

Insider-outsider strategy

We work with reform-minded officials and organised civic actors, aligning inside incentives with outside demand for reform.
